Some of MMA’s top fighters will be in attendance when UFC 271 airs live from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on Saturday, Feb. 12.
Most fans will have their eyes on the main card, which includes a championship main event bout as Israel Adesanya defends his UFC Middleweight Championship against the former interim champion, Robert Whittaker.
While Adesanya vs. Whittaker is undoubtedly the night’s headliner, here’s a look at another notable main card bout between Alexander Hernandez and Renato Moicano.

Alexander Hernandez (+125) vs. Renato Moicano (-150)
Former interim Jungle Fight Featherweight Championship Renato Moicano (15-4-1) will also take on Alexander Hernandez (13-4-0) in a UFC 271 lightweight bout.
Moicano started his UFC career hot, going 5-1 in his first six fights under the promotion. He’s lost three of his last fight since then, however, he scored a submission victory over Jai Herbert in his last bout at UFC Vegas 30.
Hernandez has also had issues with getting a win streak started recently, going 3-3 in his last six fights without winning back-to-back bouts over that span. He scored a KO victory over Mike Breeden in his last fight in October, so the hope is he can build on that at UFC 271.
While Moicano is the favorite, there’s a good chance that Hernandez can provide bettors with value at +125 odds. For starters, two of Moicano’s last five fights have ended with him getting knocked out in the first round, with a third KO/TKO loss coming in the second round.
Meanwhile, both of Hernandez’s last two victories have come from knocking out his opponent. Both fighters are fairly even, but Hernandez seems poised to take his game to the next level and is easier to have more confidence in.
