See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe Chicago White Sox will look to build off one of their best offensive performances of the season tonight as they take on Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels in the rubber game of their series in Anaheim.
Last night, Chicago trailed 3-0 after four innings, but a five-run fifth and a five-run seventh completely flipped the game as the White Sox claimed an 11-4 win. The South Siders tallied 17 hits in the win, with seven players recording multi-hit games.
It was a much-needed offensive explosion, considering that the White Sox had scored just 11 runs total in their previous five games. Tonight, they will have their hands full with Ohtani, who has been outstanding on the mound recently.

Shutdown Shohei Seeks Fourth Straight Stellar Start
In June, the Angels have won nine games. A third of those wins belong to Ohtani, who has been almost unhittable in his last three starts. In this stretch, he has allowed just one run, nine hits, and five walks and struck out 25 in 21 innings.
In his most recent start, he pitched eight shutout innings against the Kansas City Royals a week ago, allowing just two hits and a walk and striking out 13.
The White Sox have done a pretty poor job this season of stringing together multiple productive performances at the plate, but Kopech should give them a chance even if Ohtani spins another gem.
Chicago has won back-to-back games as a road underdog only once this season, which was against the New York Yankees, of all teams.
Overall, they have a losing record when they have an opportunity to go back-to-back as an underdog this season and are just 16-18 following a win this season.
But it should be noted that their one instance of winning back-to-back games as a road underdog was against the Yankees, of all teams, and it was with Kopech winning the latter game, in which he pitched seven shutout innings.
Chicago White Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction and Best Bets
White Sox vs. Angels Prediction: White Sox to win
White Sox vs. Angels Best Bets: White Sox ML (+160 at BetOnline)
Ultimately, these are two of the most disappointing teams in the league, and there is only so much of your belief–and your bankroll–that should be devoted to either one.
But as good as Ohtani has been pitching, the Angels are still the Angels, and they aren’t meant to be trusted as this much of a favorite against anyone, especially against a team with similar potential to astound and aggravate.
