Vikings @ Packers Analysis & Breakdown
We’ve got a huge divisional matchup in the NFC North this week, Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings are in Green Bay to take on the Packers in a game that will decide who leads the division.
The Packers enter Week 4 with a lot of question marks surrounding their starting quarterback, Jordan Love. Love was diagnosed with a sprained MCL after their Week 1 game against the Eagles. He came out late and has since missed back to back games.
Green Bay turned to backup Malik Willis, he won back to back games for the Pack; recording 324 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a QB rating over 120. Love’s status for Week 4 is still in question, but Willis has been more than capable in his absence.
The Vikings have surprised everyone this year. Sam Darnold looks untouchable, averaging 219 passing yards per game and he’s thrown 8 touchdowns to 2 interceptions so far this year.
Darnold leads the league in touchdown passes and he’s got the Vikings off to a 3-0 start.
Minnesota’s defensive co-ordinator, Brian Flores has done an amazing job with this defense; disguising blitzes and defensive schemes in ways we haven’t seen before.
This Vikings’ defense leads the league in sacks, they’re 2nd in interceptions, and giving up just 10 points/game. Minnesota’s allowed just 3 touchdowns all year, and just two through the air.
It’s going to be a battle in the Midwest, lock in for a fun one.

It’s tough to take a receiving prop with so many questions about who’s starting on Sunday, but if it’s one thing we know it’s that Matt LaFleur likes to throw the ball.
In Week 1 against the Eagles, Jordan Love threw the ball 34 times for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns. In Week 3, without Love, backup Malik Willis threw the ball just 14 times; that being his first start since 2022.
After a win in the team’s home opener, Willis followed that up by going on the road to face his former team, the Titans. Willis threw the ball 19 times for 202 yards and recorded a win against Tennessee.
Romeo Doubs has kind of struggled to start the year; he caught 4 of his 7 targets in Week 1 for just 50 yards but he’s seen just 5 targets over the last two weeks with Malik Willis under center.
Despite struggling to start the year, Doubs has cleared this line in 2 of 3 games so far; with the only miss being against one of the best secondaries in football, the Titans.
Doubs recorded just 1 catch for 18 yards in Tennessee, but they rank 3rd in opponent passing yards. Minnesota, on the other hand, has given up the 2nd most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks and ranks 26th in passing yards allowed this year.
It doesn’t matter if Willis gets the start, or if somehow Jordan Love makes it back; the Vikings offense has been hot and if the Packers hope to keep up, they’ll need everyone to step up.

Jordan Love o1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-122) via BetOnline – Get a $500 WELCOME BONUS
This one hinges on Jordan Love being healthy enough to take the field. Love threw the ball 34 times in the season opener, completing just 50% of his passes, throwing for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Vikings defense has been good this year, but they’ve still had a tough time against the aerial attack. The Vikings are allowing 239 passing yards per game but have allowed just two passing touchdowns through 3 games.
Minnesota’s allowing opponents to convert on just 33% of redzone trips this year, and have done a phenomenal job against the run. The Vikings are giving up just 71.3 yards per game on the ground, and have allowed just 1 rushing touchdown on the year.
The Packers enter this game as a 2.5 point favorite, with the over sitting at 43/44. The Packers have allowed just 12.5 points/game over their L2 and the Vikings are giving up just 10 points/game. So why’s the line so high?
The line feels like it’s telling us this an over spot, and possibly a high scoring affair. Lock in with Mr. Love, let’s have a day.
