López vs Kirby Showdown
We get to see a couple of fantastic pitchers duel it out tonight, and against the teams who strikeout the most against righties.
These guys combined for nearly 13 Ks a game, and like I said, these teams love to swing and miss.
The Twins strikeout the most in the league against righties overall this season and over the past month. They get sat down over 27% of the time.
The Mariners are right behind them. They strikeout the 2nd most to righties over the course of the year, and over 26% of the time over the past month.
I expect plenty of strikeouts from these two studs tonight, but I am laddering one of them.
As far as a side goes, I do lean with the Twins.
They have been gaining some betting steam this morning, but you can still snag them at +108 on BetOnline like myself.
Player Props
Pablo López over 7.5 Strikeouts (-130) Bovada
This guy is a strikeout pitcher and he is going to sit some Mariners down tonight.
López averages 7.6 Ks per start on the season, but that number is up to 8.8 over his last five. I already stressed how the Mariners love to strikeout, which works well considering López puts up 1.25 K/Inning, putting him in the 85th percentile of the league.
López clears this number in 50% of his starts overall or on the road, and two starts ago he had a season high 12 Ks in a complete game.
Kenta Maeda struck out 9 in his start against Seattle last night, so I don’t see why another Twins pitcher like López can’t get us at least 8.
I have a rare 2U play on 8+ Ks at (-130), and also played a unit on 9+ Ks at (+130).
