See Picks & Statistics For The GameIn tonight’s series finale against the Philadelphia Phillies, the Atlanta Braves will attempt to do something that they have yet to do this season.
After losing the series opener on Monday, the Braves claimed back-to-back wins on Tuesday and last night. With a win tonight, the defending World Series champions will have a three-game winning streak for the first time all season.
Even the Cincinnati Reds, who have MLB’s worst record, have won three straight games this season.
Atlanta has failed in five previous attempts this season to win three consecutive games. Will the sixth time be the charm?

Wright Looks to Continue Breakout 2022 Season
While the Braves as a whole are still trying to find some consistency this season, one of their best and most consistent performers this season has been Wright, who is having a breakout campaign.
In his first 21 MLB appearances (14 starts) from 2018 to 2021, Wright had a 2-8 record. This season, Wright is making a serious push for All-Star consideration. He is eighth in MLB in strikeouts per nine innings (10.7), tied for tenth in strikeouts (56), tied for 14th in ERA, and 26th in WHIP (1.09).
In his fourth home start, Wright had a rough outing, allowing six runs, seven hits, and four walks in 4.2 innings. But in his other four starts at Truist Park, the 26-year-old has an 0.71 ERA, with only two earned runs allowed in 25.1 innings.
The odds are in his favor tonight, with luckless Nola on the mound for the Phillies. The Phillies have won only one of Nola’s nine starts this season and have failed to win any of his four road starts.
On the road, Nola is 0-3 with a 4.18 ERA in four starts, and opponents have a .283 batting average against him. By comparison, opponents are batting just .160 against Nola at Citizens Bank Field.
In 10 starts at Truist Park, Nola is just 2-6 with a 4.55 ERA. In his last four starts there, he is 0-4 with an 8.90 ERA, with 17 earned runs allowed in 17.2 innings.

Phillies vs. Braves Best Bets: Braves ML (+100 at BetOnline) & UNDER 8 (-110 at Bovada Sportsbook)
Zack Wheeler shook his struggles at Truist Park on Monday, allowing two runs and eight hits and striking out 10 in 6.2 innings in the Phillies’ 7-3 win.
So, perhaps tonight could be Nola’s night to shake his own struggles at that stadium, with could being the operative word. Alas, Wright will continue his strong home form and lead the Braves to their first three-game win streak of this season and only their third series win at home in 2022.
