Milwaukee Brewers vs Atlanta Braves NLDS Game 3 Best Bet
Atlanta Braves ML
Anderson missed over a month in July and August due to right shoulder inflammation, but he appears to be hitting his stride at the right time. He is 4-0 with a 3.64 ERA in his last six starts, and in his last three home starts, he is 3-0 with a 2.22 ERA. In the regular season, Anderson made 11 starts at Truist Park, going 5-1 with a 3.52 ERA. His ERA at home is only slightly lower than his road ERA (3.63), but the Braves fared much better in his home starts. In his 11 home starts, they posted a 9-2 record. In his 13 road starts, they posted a 4-9 record.
This isn’t about fading Peralta, who was 5-2 with a 2.70 ERA in 12 road starts in the regular season. He had the second-best road ERA in Milwaukee’s rotation, with only Corbin Burnes (1.94) ahead of him. The value here is on the Braves and Anderson, who was a stud for the Braves in their postseason run last season. Anderson is rounding back into form at the right moment, and Atlanta’s bats have been their most productive at home.
Atlanta could and should be up 2-0 in the series, but they blew a golden opportunity to jump on Burnes in the first inning in Game 1, and one big Rowdy Tellez swing made all the difference later. Look for them to move within a win of a return trip to the NLCS this afternoon.
