The Giants and Pirates square off today in the final game of this series. We have our prediction and best bets for this Sunday morning MLB matchup.
Both teams probably wish they were performing slightly better this season, with the Pirates currently sitting at 41-51 and hold 4th place in the NL Central. The Giants are 51-41 and sit in 3rd place of the NL West, just 2.5 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
These teams are plenty familiar with each other, so let’s discuss a bit of their season before diving into tonight’s matchup!

Giants vs Pirates Season History
These squads faced off in a three game series during the first half of the 2023 MLB Season. In San Francisco, the Pirates actually lost the initial game but then managed to take the next two from their opponent.
This series it seems as if the Giants have come out seeking revenge, because they have not only won both games of this series, but they’ve also covered the runline in both contests as well.
It’s clear the Giants did not come to Pittsburgh to play around.
Will they get the sweep today? Or will the Pirates sneak away with a win and even up the season series?

Giants vs Pirates Prediction & Best Bets
With all due respect to the Pirates, if there is any, I think the Giants complete the sweep this morning. San Francisco ranks Top 10 in the league in both runs, runs allowed, and team ERA.
They are also in the top half of the MLB in hits, OBP, and slugging percentage.
To be blunt, I think they have too much fire power for this Pirates team to handle at the moment.
Not to mention the Giants have a real shot at winning the NL West this year. They are currently on a 4 game winning streak and would certainly like to keep that momentum going as long as possible.
Give me the Giants to prove to the Pirates and the world that they are actual contenders this season.
The Pick: Giants -1.5 (+110) Bovada
