See Picks & Statistics For The GameAfter a surprising series loss at home against the Washington Nationals, the Los Angeles Dodgers now hit the road for the next week, starting with a four-game series in Denver against the Colorado Rockies.
Prior to the Nationals’ visit to Dodger Stadium, the Dodgers had won 19 of their previous 21 games and had won six straight series. But they dropped two of three against the NL East’s last-place team, losing on Monday and Tuesday before salvaging the series finale yesterday.
Tonight, they will look to take the opener in Denver with All-Star pitcher Tyler Anderson on the mound. Anderson’s lone loss this season came against the Rockies last month, so he will certainly be looking to have a better outing this time around.

Notable Trend Favors Dodgers in a Big Way
The best teams in any league, whether it is MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, or any other major sport, do well with stringing wins together.
That is certainly the case with the Dodgers, who are 44-19 this season following a win. That is the best record and win percentage in the league, and it makes them one of only three teams with a win percentage of 60 percent or better in games following a win.
The Rockies, meanwhile, find themselves at the opposite end of those standings, as they have a 19-25 record in games following a win. Only the Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, Washington Nationals, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Oakland Athletics have worse records following a win.
Colorado beefed that record up a bit with a five-game win streak before the All-Star break, but they face a tall task tonight against Anderson.
They solved him last time around, getting to him for four runs and ten hits in six innings in a 4-0 win at Coors Field on June 27.
But that is just one of three times in 16 starts that the Dodgers haven’t backed him with at least four runs, and it is just one of four times that an opponent has scored four or more runs in one of his starts. So, they will do very well to have such success again in this matchup.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies Prediction and Picks
Dodgers vs. Rockies Prediction: Dodgers to win
Dodgers vs. Rockies Picks: Dodgers -1.5 (Best Value: -135 at Bovada Sportsbook)
The Dodgers have had just seven one-run wins this season and have been involved in just 16 one-run games this season, both of which are the lowest totals in the league. And they are currently on a run that has seen their last eight wins all come by 2+ runs.
So, there’s obviously one clear choice to be made if you are backing the Dodgers to take the opener tonight in Denver.
