Blue Jays vs. Yankees Breakdown & Best Bets
The Blue Jays and Yankees are two teams that have had very different seasons. Both teams suffered injuries, but the Aaron Judge injury proved to be too much for New York.
Judge has played in just 96 games this season, but still somehow managed 32 HR. The Yankees this season, with Judge, are 52-44; without him, 24-30.
For the Blue Jays, it was Bo Bichette who missed 27 games. Toronto still managed to go 16-11 in that span and are still in the hunt of for post-season.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. o1.5 Hits, Runs, RBI (-125) via Bovada
Vladdy finally brok the cold spell at the Rogers Center, better late than never. Prior to the Jays’ last two series at the Rogers Center, Vladdy had just 7 HRs at home in Toronto.
He’s got 3 HRs in his L5 games, all coming at home; and now he goes into New York, a place he’s been fairly dominant his entire career.
In Yankee Stadium, he has a career 0.295 BA / 0.614 SLG / 12 HRs / 21 RBI / 19 runs in 34 games.
He’s also batting 0.364 in New York this season, with a home run in 2 of the 3 games. He’s batting 0.400 + 1 HR, vs Schmidt, who’s given up 26 HRs this year; 13 in Yankee Stadium.
Add to this he bats behind guys like Bichette and Springer, with Davis Schneider coming up behind him; plenty of opportunity for runs and RBI.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. o1.5 Hits, Runs, RBI (-125) via Bovada
Bonus Sprinkle: Vladimir Guerrero Jr HR (+400)
Aaron Judge o1.5 Total Bases (+105) via Bovada
How much really needs to be said about Aaron Judge. He’s missed 54 games but still leads the Yankees with THIRTY-TWO home runs, and is second in RBI; having played 51 fewer games than Torres (1st).
There isn’t much more to it than that. He’s batting 0.264 against the Jays with 4 HRs in 7 games.
Against Kikuchi he’s a terrible 0.167 with just 3 hits, however, 2 of those three hits were out of the park.
Kikuchi’s been decent, but has a 5.67 ERA in his L5 games, with 4 HR allowed. He also has a 5.12 ERA against the AL East, w 9 HRs allowed in 9 starts.
Judge records his fourth career hit vs Kikuchi tonight, and it’s leaving the park.
Aaron Judge o1.5 Total Bases (+105) via Bovada
Bonus Sprinkle: Aaron Judge HR (+225)
