Players in New Jersey now have another top-tier online casino games provider for their gambling entertainment. PENN Entertainment has launched their standalone Hollywood Casino app in the Garden State.
This marks PENN Entertainment’s third new casino online USA opening in the best North American iGaming markets. Earlier this year, they launched the Hollywood Casino app in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Hollywood Casino app can be downloaded in Google Play, the App Store, and on desktops and laptops. Moreover, players who have the ESPN Bet app can access the new standalone Hollywood Casino app using their credentials.
PENN Chief Technology Officer Aaron LaBerge was thrilled to introduce their dedicated, casino-first experience to customers across New Jersey.
“Hollywood Casino delivers a best-in-class experience with an extensive game library, seamless gameplay, and exclusive content from our in-house studio. This launch builds on the strong momentum we’ve gained since introducing our enhanced standalone app in December,” LaBerge added.
Currently, the Hollywood Casino app provides players with access to over 700 titles. Its online casino real money games include titles from PENN Game Studios, PENN’s in-house development studio.
PENN’s Hollywood Casino App Shown Improvement Since Launch
According to PENN’s Q4 2024 earnings report, the company saw tangible increases from its Hollywood app in Pennsylvania and Michigan. Key improvements in the Keystone State saw the following:
16% increase in average weekly users
38% increase in gross gaming revenue
35% increase in net gaming revenue
PENN Entertainment CEO Jay Snowden noted that the Hollywood Casino app focuses on user experience and speed for users,
“We were laser focused on speed and [user interface/user experience] and it shows. Optimizations like this are only possible because we own our technology stack,” Snowden added.
PENN credits their omnichannel approach in Pennsylvania. It stands to reason that they will employ the same strategy in New Jersey.
Moreover, the Q4 2024 report saw its Interactive segment generate $275 million in revenue. As a result, its adjusted EBITDA losses reached $110 million, down from $334 million in Q4 2023.
PENN also reported a 64% year-over-year increase in iGaming net revenue across Hollywood Casino and theScore Bet. Both are operating in Ontario’s online gaming market.
