1. Patrik Laine o2.5 SOG -105 on BetOnline:

One prime way to find discounts on NHL player props is to look for revenge angles. And tonight the Montreal Canadiens sniper Patrik Laine will play the team who he was originally drafted by and where he first found success. The Winnipeg Jets eventually traded Laine to the Columbus Blue Jackets where Laine struggled to reach his early heights. We was then moved to Montreal for a change of scenery that has rejuvenated his career.

Laine is a premier sniper who excels on the power play. He has 12 goals in 21 games, and you gotta shoot to score. At home Laine has hit his 2.5 SOG (shots on goal) prop 67% of the time this season. He is averaging 6.7 shot attempts over the last 10 homes games and now gets to host his former team.

Against the Jets, Laine has hit his SOG prop 3 of 4 times. He averaged 7 shot attempts a game and had 7 SOG the last time the two teams faced. One reason we are getting a discounted price on this prop is due to the Winnipeg Jets being a strong defensive team. They are allowing the 4th least amount of shots against over the last 10 games. But the narrative here and home bias makes me think Laine’s SOG prop is worth the risk at this discounted price, making it an NHL best bet tonight.

2. Pavel Dorofeyev o2.5 SOG -105 on BetOnline:

There are always ebbs and flows to the NHL season. Certain teams will dry up on the scoring side of things as the season drags on. Or defensive powerhouses may become more leaky to SOGs and goals. When the later situation happens it opens up opportunities to get great value on NHL player props. In this case we will look toward a Dallas Stars team who has been allowing more shots against recently for our NHL best bet.

The Dallas Stars are allowing the 14th most shots against over the last 10 games. That is 12 spots lower than their season average of allowing the 8th least amount of shots against. The Stars will take on the Vegas Golden Knights, who they defeated in a playoff toned 4-3 win. The Vegas Golden Knights would love to get one back at home.

The Golden Knights 2nd line of Tomas Hertl and Pavel Dorofeyev has particularly been hot. The two players have 14 goals and 26 points between the two of them over the last 10 games. Dorofeyv has been ripping puck and it’s working. He has hit his SOG prop in 7 of the last 10 games and has hit in both games against the Stars this season with an average of 7 shot attempts in those two games. This is a discounted player prop due to the opponent’s defensive play.

3. Mason McTavish Point +115 on BetOnline:

Mason McTavish was a top draft pick in the 2021 NHL draft. But in his first couple seasons he has not truly broken out. In fact his headcoach just made a statement about how he is “a 3rd line center”. Since those comments McTavish has been lightning it up with 5 points in three games, four of which were goals. Tonight he has a great opportunity to keep the streak going.

The Anaheim Ducks will face a Seattle Kraken team who are Grubauer who has been dreadful this season. Top goaltender Joey Daccord played last night in his 10th straight game, so the Kraken will have no choice to turn to Grubauer. We are getting a great discount on the McTavish point due to this great match up and his recent spark. Grubauer has a 3.76 goals against average and .87 save percentage.

It seems like several recent comments from the Ducks head coach have motivated the team. They just took down the Nashville Predators at home and have scored 5 times in their last two games. Due to the Ducks generally being a lower scoring team we get heavy discounts on player points making them NHL best bets tonight.
