New Jersey, one of the best markets for USA online casinos, saw their online casinos maintain good numbers for February. According to a report from the New Jersey of Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), online casinos produced $207.8 million in earnings last month.
New Jersey’s iGaming revenue saw a record-setting $228 million back in December 2024.
Online casino sites in the Garden State have reached at least $200 million for six straight months. Specifically, online slots and interactive tables, including poker rake, garnered almost $207.8 million. The iGaming haul was 14% higher than a year ago.
As for online sportsbook numbers, sports wagering revenue grew 8.9 percent in February to $73.6 million. However, year-to-date figures dropped 17.9 percent compared to 2024.
This steady pace comes even after operators experienced a slow start in the year. Moreover, online real money casino numbers were higher in New Jersey than traditional casinos for the second straight month.
February numbers for traditional casinos saw in-person slots win $152.1 million. This was a year-over-year decrease of 4.3%. Meanwhile, felt win was down 2.5% to $51.3 million. Such numbers add up to $203.5 million for February.
Jane Bokunewicz, director of Stockton University’s Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism, stated one reason for the low numbers. She noted that the colder weather makes for poor in-person play.
Moreover, February delivered bouts of brutal cold in Atlantic City. They experienced two winter storms that brought roughly eight inches of snow on the beach town.
“A less busy month for in-person patrons opened the door to more internet gaming activity and the opportunity for online casino operations to pass brick-and-mortar for a second consecutive month with a 14% increase over February 2024,” Bokunewicz added.
Oddsmakers kept about $73.6 million of the $988.9 million wagered, a year-over-year increase of 9%. All but $39.3 million was bet online.
When everything was tallied, New Jersey GGR from casinos, New Jersey online casinos and sports gambling totaled $484.8 million in February 2025. That’s a 5% year-over-year premium. Year-to-date, GGR climbed north of $1 billion for a 1.8% gain.
