Pebbles Stakes Closes Opening Weekend of Belmont at the Big A

Sunday will wrap the final day of racing for opening weekend of Belmont at the Big A. The Pebbles Stakes will be the feature at a mile on turf.
Belmont at Aqueduct- Race 1
Post: 1:00 PM ET; $95k Maiden Special Weight going 1 mile on dirt; Entries: 7
- #1A OHANA HONOR (2-1) should improve off the first start and he has races good enough to beat this group.
- #6 EXPECTED VALUE (5-2) is off the debut effort and he makes sense on speed figures. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Brown and Prat.
- #4 PHELPSY (8-1) makes the second start for Chad Brown. Franco gets the mount here. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #3 SKELLIG (7-2) runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.

Post: 1:30 PM ET; $28k Claiming going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 6
- #5 TRUE EMPRESS (6-5) looks to be the class of the field. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #3 SHAMALAMADINGDONG (7-5) fits on numbers here. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Clement and Davis.
- #6 MY DELICIOUS (10-1) is a horse that has races that seem to make this one likely to outrun the odds.
- #1 SWEETER (4-1) makes sense on speed figures.

- #7 KINCHEN (5-2) makes a ton of sense on speed figures.
- #8 VERONICA GREENE (2-1) has to be respected going out for the combination of Brown and Ortiz.
- #3 SAREEHA (6-1) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #1 WHISKEY LULLABY (4-1) goes out for the Camejo barn and gets Ortiz in the irons. This one looks to be the class of the field.

Post: 2:33 PM ET; $37k Claiming going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7
- #7 COLLOQUY (2-1) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #1 MAXIM MOMENT (3-1) has races good enough to beat this group.
- #5 STORM SHOOTER (5-1) looks to be the class of the field. This one will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
- #3 FORTY COMETS (12-1) is a price horse and seems to fit well enough here. This one projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.

- #8 PEACE CRUISER (2-1) should improve off the first start and was really solid in the first start. This one has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
- #1 RANDOMIZED (5-2) could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end. This one should be ready to run a big one here.
- #2 TREASURED GEM (10-1) is a price horse and She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #5 MO SHIRO (15-1) is an interesting horse with experience.

Belmont at Aqueduct- Race 6
Post: 3:35 PM ET; $72k Maiden Special Weight going 7 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 10
- #8 EE YAH (4-1) has races good enough to beat this group.
- #5 FORBIDDEN SECRET (9-5) has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot. This one makes sense on speed figures.
- #6 GOING IN STYLE (5-1) should improve off the first start and gets Prat in the saddle for this one.
- #7 ULUMALU (10-1) comes into the race in great form.

Belmont at Aqueduct- Race 7
Post: 4:07 PM ET; $60k Claiming going 6 furlongs on turf; Entries: 11
- #2 ATHWAAQ (5-2) runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here. This one goes out for the Reynolds barn and gets Ortiz in the irons.
- #5 ITSAKEYPER (6-1) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #3 MUCHA MEZQUINA (5-1) has to be respected going out for the combination of Salvaggio and Cancel. This one makes sense on speed figures.
- #7 JASMINESQUE (12-1) is a price horse and has races good enough to beat this group. This one will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run.

Post: 4:41 PM ET; $85k Allowance going 1 mile on dirt; Entries: 7
- #4 DR. BLUTE (9-5) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #1 DANGEROUS EDGE (6-1) seems to fit well enough here.
- #7 GREAT WORKOUT (4-1) will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get the right setup in this race.
- #5 WHITTINGTON PARK (5-1) He has to be respected going out for the combination of Cox and Ortiz. This one may benefit from a hot pace up front.

Belmont at Aqueduct- Race 9
Post: 5:13 PM ET; $150k Pebbles S. going 1 mile on turf; Entries: 13
- #12 GINA ROMANTICA (7-2) fits here based on speed and class. She is dangerous.
- #5 A MO REAY (6-1) has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip. This one has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
- #13 WONKA (8-1) projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.
- #8 BAHAMIAN CLUB (6-1) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.

Belmont at Aqueduct- Race 10
Post: 5:45 PM ET; $60k Claiming going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 9
- #4 QUIET OUT EAST (8-1) looks to be the class of the field. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #7 MONARCHS GLEN (4-1) has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #9 JACK THE CAT (5-1) makes sense on speed figures. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #5 BIG AGENDA (7-2) could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Sharp and Ortiz.
