- #4 INVENTING (9-5) will be coming late with one run and gets the top selection. She may be able to take advantage of the pace scenario in this spot.
- #5 AUNT NAUGHTY (5-2) has tactical speed and should be competitive in this spot. This one could be the class of the field based on the previous foes she faced.
- #3 SHE'S KEEN (4-1) should be involved in the early pace and isn't without hope. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #2 FOREVER AFTER ALL (7-2) will be coming late with one run and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. Maybe the first two starts helped build a foundation for a top performance here.

- #3 BOLDISH (9-5) is a closer and gets the top selection. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Rice and Ortiz. This one shouldn't have trouble with the 6 1/2 furlong distance.
- #6 SARATOGA PAL (9-2) is a late running type and should be competitive in this spot. Despite his off the pace run style his pace figures say this one could take several tactics in this spot.
- #8 SICILIA MIKE (6-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts and should be rolling down the lane late.
- #1 LOST IN ROME (12-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets, but if he can put a little more speed into his game early, there is a chance to get comfortable on the front end.
