- #1 I KNOW (15-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He is well bred for this spot.
- #2 RASCALLY REBEL (15-1) is another long shot and seems to be running for the minor placings in this contest. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one goes out for the Smith barn and gets Toledo in the irons.

Post: 2:12 PM ET; $35k Claiming going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 10
- #1 MET IN MIAMI (2-1) gets the top selection. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one shouldn't have trouble with the 1 1/16 mile distance.
- #6 POUNDING MUSIC (3-1) isn't without hope. She is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race.
- #3 FOXTROT SEVILLE (6-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She may get the absolute dream flow of the race in this spot.
- #8 EVANGELINE ALLONS (4-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She goes out for the Klesaris barn and gets Karamanos in the irons.
Selections: 1 – 6 – 3 – 8
Pick 5 Outlook:
Single the #1 on main tickets. A backup ticket would include #6 and #3, but this is a leg to keep tight.

- #7 HOODOOLAND (1-1) gets the top selection. She may get the absolute dream flow of the race in this spot. It is hard to imagine this one not getting the hob done here.

- #2 DIVINE FASHION (8-1) seems to be running for the minor placings in this contest. She is interesting to spice up the vertical wagers, but that’s about it.
Selections: 7 – 5 – 6 – 2
Pick 5 Outlook:
Single the #7. If a backup is to be used it would be the #5, but this is yet another leg to keep things tight.
Laurel Park- Race 6
Post: 3:12 PM ET; $27k Claiming going 5 1/2 furlongs on turf; Entries: 12
- #7 SIDNEY SUE (8-1) gets the top pick. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here.
- #3 CHARGINA (2-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She has the top overall power rating in the group. Her run style fits, but the inside draw could lead to traffic trouble.
- #8 DEEMED ESSENTIAL (5-1) should be competitive in this spot. She should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late. This one makes sense on speed figures.
- #6 MAMBA QUEEN (5-2) isn't without hope. She should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late.
Selections: 7 – 3 – 8 – 6
Pick 5 Outlook:
This is where a play against the favorite is in order. These races are chaos and with 2 short prices on the ticket already, there needs to be a little price equity. Spread in this race using front runners #4 Icy Reply, #6 Mamba Queen, and #9 La Familia. Add in some off the pace runners who will be clear of traffic and can get run at a price. This includes #7 Sidney Sue, #8 Deemed Essential, and #12 Willow Drive.
Laurel Park- Race 7
Post: 3:43 PM ET; $40k Starter Optional Claiming going about 1 1/16 miles on dirt; Entries: 6
- #2 WALK AWAY JOE (7-2) gets the checkmark in this spot. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one goes out for the Capuano barn and gets Aviles in the irons.
- #5 CARIBBEAN (2-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late.

- #3 THE STIFF (5-2) should be competitive in this spot. He is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race. This one comes into the race in really good form.
Selections: 2 – 5 – 6 – 3
Pick 5 Outlook:
This race isn’t as cut and dry as some of the others. The #2 Walk Away Joe is the tactical play. The favorite, #5 Caribbean could get away and wire the field. Those are the two that will play most prominently. The #6 Closer Look is a front running type but does have a little finish as well and would be in the mix to use on the main ticket.
Laurel Park- Race 8
Post: 4:15 PM ET; $44k Maiden Claiming going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 8

- #6 SELF ASSURED (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. She could get the right setup in this race. She has been successful in turf routes. The price makes this one interesting.
- #8 NIBBLES (6-1) isn't without hope. She makes sense on overall speed numbers and could get a nice run in the race.
Selections: 1 – 3 – 6 – 8
Pick 5 Outlook:
The #6 Self Assured and #8 Nibbles are both speed types and will be on the ticket in case no one wants to pass anyone, which can be a common problem in these maiden claiming races. The #1 Luminist and #3 Flimsy are the best horses in the race, but they will need to prove it from off the pace. This is a four deep race.
