Laurel Park often runs predominantly claiming races. However, Saturday’s card is loaded with 5 competitive stakes races including the Miss Disco.
Saturday Full Card Analysis
Laurel Park- Race 1
Post: 12:40 PM ET; $52k Maiden Special Weight going 7 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 6
- #3 SPENCERIAN (2-1) should improve off the first start and gets the top selection. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
- #1 FIVECOMMATWO (3-1) should improve in the second race and appears to be a major player in this race. She shouldn't have trouble with the 7 furlong distance. This one goes out for the Corrales barn and gets Araujo in the irons.
- #6 GALACTIC TIDE (15-1) is a price horse and should be competitive in this spot. This one has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
- #5 MY FOREVER FRIEND (7-5) debuts here and feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Sheldon and Brittany Russell.

- #1 OUT OF SORTS (9-5) gets the top selection. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one looks to be the class of the field.
- #6 PIE KILLER (2-1) could be in with a shot in this race. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #4 I LOVE YOU (9-2) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She seems to fit well enough here. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Capuano and Cruz.
- #8 WITTY BANTER (10-1) is a price horse and isn't without hope. She has to be respected going out for the Smith barn with Toledo getting a leg up. This one makes sense on speed figures.

- #4 GOLDENIZE (3-1) gets the top selection. This one just makes sense on speed and class.
- #1 ZEN MASTER (7-2) appears to be a major player in this race. He could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end. This one comes into the race in really good form.
- #2 ROYAL SPY (12-1) is a price horse and feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He shouldn't have trouble with the 7 furlong distance. This one should be near the early pace in this spot.
- #6 ONE TEN (6-1) isn't without hope. He looks to class up well enough here. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions previously.

- #1 EIGHT AND SAND (5-2) debuts here and appears to be a major player in this race. He goes out for the Russell barn and gets Sheldon Russell in the irons. This one is well bred for this spot.
- #4 DOCTOR DAVIS (9-5) should be competitive in this spot. He seems to fit well enough here. This one makes sense on speed figures.
- #8 CATCHTHISWINNER (3-1) isn't without hope. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.

- #4 ROYAL WHISPER (3-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. This one has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
- #3 DRY WELL (12-1) is a price horse and seems to be running for the minor placings in this contest. She could be a dangerous threat if she can sustain on or near the lead through the stretch run.

- #5 ELLANATION (8-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
- #2 MATTITUDE (5-1) should be competitive in this spot. She goes out for the Bailes barn and gets Karamanos in the irons. This one seems to fit well enough here.
- #7 CAN THE QUEEN (5-2) looks like a contender. She could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end if no one goes with her. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.

- #4 ALOTTAHOPE (3-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He projects to sit mid pack and come with one run. This one looks to be the class of the field.
- #2 SUPER LOVE (2-1) should be in with a shot here. He will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late. This one goes out for the Dilodovico barn and gets Karamanos in the irons.
- #1 LOCAL MOTIVE (8-1) should be competitive in this spot. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.

- #8 GRATEFUL BRED (2-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He has been running against quality foes of late. This one makes sense on speed figures.
- #5 JAXON TRAVELER (5-2) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He has kept some really good company of late. This one comes into the race in really good form.
- #7 DOUBLE CROWN (10-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He looks like he could be sitting on his bet performance. This one has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.

Laurel Park- Race 9
Post: 4:58 PM ET; $100k Deputed Testamony S. going 1 1/8 miles on dirt; Entries: 7
- #7 MAGIC MICHAEL (3-1) gets the top selection. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one seems like he should be much shorter than 3-1.
- #4 PLOT THE DOTS (4-1) is probably the next likeliest winner. He goes out for the Gonzalez barn and gets Cruz in the irons. This one makes sense on speed figures.
- #5 TREASURE TROVE (6-1) looks like a fringe contender. He looks to be the class of the field, but has a long way to match the ability of the #7.
- #2 TAPPIN CAT (8-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.

Laurel Park- Race 10
Post: 5:28 PM ET; $28k Claiming going 5 1/2 furlongs on turf; Entries: 9
- #6 BOURBON AND ICE (5-2) gets the top selection. He will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here. The concern may be the potential for a fairly moderate pace.
- #9 SCOTTY BROWN (5-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race. This one shouldn't have trouble with the 5 1/2 furlong distance.
- #7 MARYLAND PRIDE (7-2) should factor here. He projects to sit mid pack and come with one run. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Geralis and Karamanos.
- #8 FLANK SPEED (9-5) could be in with a shot in this race. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Farrior and Toledo.
