One of the highlights of Saratoga each and every year is the quality of its turf racing. Set Piece comes in as a strong favorite in the turf feature on Friday. He is the 3-1 favorite just ahead of Mira Mission at 7-2.
Saratoga- Race 1
Post: 1:05 PM ET; $88k Maiden Special Weight going 5 1/2 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7
- #4 LADY MINE (4-1) gets the top selection. She has races good enough to beat this group. This one may get the absolute dream flow of the race in this spot.
- #5 IM JUST KIDDIN (5-2) looks to have a good shot here. She is well bred for this spot.
- #1 IRISH EMPRESS (8-1) isn't without hope. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Lynch and Rosario.
- #3 MADDIE'S GRACE (7-2) is in with a chance. She goes out for Rudy Rodriguez and gets Ortiz aboard for the ride.

Post: 1:39 PM ET; $64k Claiming going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7
- #2 CUSTOMEREXPERIENCE (2-1) gets the top selection. She should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late. This one looks to be the class of the field.
- #6 MELTING SNOW (9-2) should be competitive in this spot. She should be able to work out a favorable chance to out finish her opponents to the wire.
- #3 INVALUABLE (5-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. It would be a surprise to see her not in the mix in the lane.
- #1 REMAIN ANONYMOUS (5-2) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one may get the dream flow of the race in this spot.

- #5 MR. CONNECTICUT (4-1) gets the top selection. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one looks to be the class of the field.
- #1 YOUR MISSION (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Pletcher and Ortiz. This one could get the right setup in this race.
- #7 BERNARDINO (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. This one is well bred for this spot.
- #6 URAGANO (5-1) looks to have a good shot here. He is another one with pedigree that makes him viable in this race.

- #7 SUPPRESSOR (6-1) gets the top selection. He may get the absolute dream flow of the race in this spot. This one would likely be in for an maiden allowance at other meets.
- #1 ACTUALIZE (8-5) looks to have a good shot here. He shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance.
- #8 MARCO POLO (8-1) looks to have a good shot here. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one may geta really nice race set up here
- #6 JUST LIKE THIS (9-2) isn't without hope. He comes into the race in really good form. This one shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance.

Post: 3:21 PM ET; $50k Claiming going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 13
- #7 BAIL OUT (10-1) gets the top selection. He has races good enough to beat this group. The value is right on this player.
- #5 JUULSTONE (5-1) should be competitive in this spot. He should be in the right spot to make a run late which is always advantageous on the turf.
- #2 GOOCH GO BRAGH (6-1) is another with a legitimate chance in this spot. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Gargan and Ortiz. This wone has a really nice late kick.
- #10 AL'S PRINCE (4-1) should be competitive in this spot. He has run speed figures that make him a player here.
Selections: 7 – 5 – 2 – 10
Saratoga- Race 6
Post: 3:55 PM ET; $100k Allowance Optional Claiming going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 11
- #9 GRAPE NUTS WARRIOR (4-1) gets the top selection. He could get the right setup in this race. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
- #7 RUSE (9-2) should be competitive in this spot. He looks to be the class of the field.
- #2 BAR FOURTEEN (12-1) looks to have a good shot here. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late.
- #1 COTTON (12-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He could get the right race flow to surprise at a price in this one.

- #5 WILL E SUTTON (3-1) gets the top selection. He has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #3 SIX PERCENT (7-2) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He goes out for the Englehart barn and gets Ortiz in the irons. This one seems to fit well enough here.
- #6 I AM THE CASH MAN (8-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He may get the run of the race in this spot. He should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late.
- #2 JADE'S DREAM (6-1) isn't without hope. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
Selections: 5 – 3 – 6 – 2
Saratoga- Race 8
Post: 5:05 PM ET; $150k Coronation Cup Stakes going 5 1/2 furlongs on turf; Entries: 12
- #3 TWILIGHT GLEAMING (2-1) gets the top selection. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Ward and Ortiz. Ward is always dangerous with these turf sprinters.
- #6 DERRYNANE (5-1) looks to have a good shot here. She goes out for the Clement barn and gets Rosario in the irons. This one has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip here.
- #10 MYSTIC EYES (15-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts. This one comes into the race in really good form.
- #8 POPPY FLOWER (6-1) isn't without hope. She seems to fit well enough here. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
Selections: 3 – 6 – 10- 8
Saratoga- Race 9
Post: 5:39 PM ET; $175k Forbidden Apple Stakes going 1 mile on turf; Entries: 13
- #1 SET PIECE (3-1) gets the top selection. He has the perfect run style for this type of race and may just get the perfect trip. Cox goes to his go-to guy in Florent “Flo” Geroux who will soon be shipping his tack to Del Mar.
- #7 PUBLIC SECTOR (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #11 SCUTTLEBUZZ (15-1) looks to have a good shot here. He seems to fit well enough here.
- #3 MIRA MISSION (7-2) looks to have a good shot here. He has races good enough to beat this group. The price is a bit short. Leparoux is a really good jock, but taking a short price with him against this colony is a tough pill to swallow.

- #3 KHALI MAGIC (7-2) looks to have a good shot here. She seems to fit well enough. This one should be in the right spot to be in with a chance late.
- #9 SHESAWILDJOKER (8-1) looks to be a player here. She may get the absolute dream flow of the race in this spot. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
