Fluffy Socks Returns: Aqueduct Sunday Analysis, Selections

The Sunday card from Aqueduct features the Key Cents and the Forever Together Stakes. Fluffy Socks was installed as the 8/5 morning line favorite.

Post: 11:50 AM ET; $70k Maiden Special Weight going 1 mile on turf; Entries: 12

• #3 OUSTER (6-5) gets the top selection. He will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here. This one could get the right setup in this race.
• #2 BERNARDINO (8-1) should be competitive in this spot. He comes into the race in really good form.
• #8 CONQUIST (7-2) seems to fit well enough here. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
• #4 VALENTINO'S HERE (15-1) is a price horse that makes sense on speed figures.

• #7 CRUPI (2-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He goes out for the Pletcher barn and gets Ortiz in the irons. This one will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.
• #3 CLASSIC CATCH (5-2) is another runner off a solid start to the career.
• #8 GAME CHANGE (10-1) is a price horse that feels like one that could outrun the odds here.

• #5 STONEWALL STAR (3-5) looks much the best here. She has the top overall power rating in the group and looks to be the class of the field.
• #1 WEEKEND RAGS (7-2) should improve off the first start and may benefit from a hot pace up front.
• #3 SECURITY CODE (9-2) makes sense on speed figures.
• #4 THREE UNIONS (8-1) seems to be running for the minor placings in this contest. She seems to fit well enough here.

• #6 AL'S ROCKET (9-2) gets the top selection. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one seems to fit well here.
• #1 TRANSACTIONAL (7-2) should be competitive in this spot. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Brown and Ortiz. This one shouldn't have trouble with the 1 1/16 mile distance.
• #3 RECKLESS SPIRIT (8-1) will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
• #9 HILLIARD (10-1) is a price horse and will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run. This one could get the right setup in this race.

• #1 MODERN LOVE (5-1) debuts here and should be competitive in this spot. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Brown and Rosario.
• #6 ANA'S GUN (3-1) will make the debut at a short price which means the word may be out on this one.

• #2 CHABERTON (3-1) comes into the race in really good form.
• #5 LIBRETTO (12-1) is a price horse that runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.

• #5 FLUFFY SOCKS (8-5) has races good enough to beat this group. This one goes out for the Brown barn and gets Ortiz in the irons.
• #3 LASHARA (12-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
• #6 FINEST WORK (4-1) may be able to grind out a spot in the number here.

• #3 MOTION TO STRIKE (8-1) has races good enough to beat this group. This one has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
• #6 THE MET (10-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He goes out for the Wilson barn and gets Worrie in the irons.
• #8 BREAKING STONES (6-1) should be part of the early pace in this spot.

• #3 PRETTY CLEVER (10-1) goes out for the Begg barn and gets Davis in the irons. This one seems to fit well enough here.
