Churchill Downs has started up the fall meet. The return to racing has been a safe one thus far which is welcome news to the horse racing community after a disastrous spring at the track.
The track’s feature card of the weekend will take place on Saturday, September 30. The day of racing includes the Grade 2 Lukas Classic and the Grade 3 Ack Ack stakes. The latter serves as an automatic qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup year end championships.
