Belmont Park Full Card Selections
Belmont Park- Race 1
Post: 1:00 PM ET; $34k Starter Allowance going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 8
- #8 SCILLY CAY (9-2) gets the top selection. He will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here. This one looks to be the class of the field.
- #4 RAGTIME BLUES (7-2) could be in with a shot in this race. He runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #5 COLONEL BOWMAN (6-5) makes sense against this group based on the speed figures earned of late.
- #6 REED KAN (8-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race. This one should be part of the early pace in this spot.
Selections: 8 – 4 – 5 – 6
Belmont Park- Race 2
Post: 1:31 PM ET; $95k Allowance going 7 furlongs on turf; Entries: 12
- #5 THREE ZERO (12-1) is a price horse and is the top pick. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
- #3 ELUSIVE EDGE (8-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He makes sense on speed figures. This one is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race.
- #9 OHTWOOHTHREEFIVE (5-2) should be competitive in this spot. He has back numbers that would make him a definite threat in this spot.
- #8 BOLD JOURNEY (2-1) should be competitive in this spot. He looks to be the class of the field. This one comes into the race in really good form.
Selections: 5 – 3 – 9 – 8
Belmont Park- Race 3

- #6 CHEEKY TICO (8-1) should be competitive in this spot. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Barrera and Ortiz.
- #1 NORGAY (7-2) could be in with a shot in this race base on the class of horses he’s been running against of late.
- #8 BLU GROTTO (6-1) could be in with a shot in this race if he can run back to some of his previous performances.
Selections: 7 – 6 – 1 – 8

- #5 FROMANOTHAMUTHA (7-2) gets the top selection. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #1 MANDATORY (3-1) has speed figures that put him in the mix with the likes of these runners.
- #3 COLLOQUY (5-1) has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip. That can be a prime trip in these long dirt races at Belmont.
- #7 LIL BRO COOP (7-2) will look to run them off their feet. He will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
Selections: 5 – 1 – 3 – 7
Belmont Park- Race 5
Post: 3:07 PM ET; $600k Man o' War S. going 1 3/8 miles on turf; Entries: 8
- #1 RED KNIGHT (7-2) is the top pick. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #6 SOLDIER RISING (5-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He looks to be the class of the field. This one will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.
- #2 WARREN POINT (9-5) should be competitive in this spot. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Appleby and Dettori.
- #3 CHANNEL MAKER (6-1) could absolutely win here on his best day, but the old pro seems to have lost a step. He’s still competitive in this type of race, but he may be a step below those competing for top prize.
Selections: 1 – 6 – 2 – 3
Belmont Park- Race 6
Post: 3:40 PM ET; $200k Peter Pan S. going 1 1/8 miles on dirt; Entries: 9
- #2 SLIP MAHONEY (4-1) looks best here. He shouldn't have trouble with the 1 1/8 mile distance. This one comes into the race in really good form.
- #8 HENRY Q (8-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He may benefit from a hot pace up front. This one has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.
- #5 CLASSIC CATCH (9-2) should be competitive in this spot. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #7 ASMODEUS (15-1) is a price horse that could find some of the old figures and surprise at a nice price.
Selections: 2 – 8 – 5 – 7
Belmont Park- Race 7
Post: 4:12 PM ET; $45k Maiden Claiming going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 16
- #13 MAMA BANNED ME (5-1) gets the top selection. He comes into the race in really good form although he will have to overcome a wide draw which is not ideal.
- #2 BARRY THE BUILDER (6-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He shouldn't have trouble with the 1 1/16 mile distance. This one will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.

- #7 TWENTY SIX BLACK (4-1) is the top pick and will get Manny Franco in the irons. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #3 POWER ATTACK (8-1) should be competitive in this spot. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
- #1 FEATHERS ROAD (8-1) is a player based on the speed figures he’s put up.
- #2 ATHENRY (5-1) has been running against some fine animals and fits well enough with runners.
Selections: 7 – 3 – 1 – 2
Belmont Park- Race 9
Post: 5:18 PM ET; $175k Runhappy S. going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 6
- #6 MR PHIL (9-2) looks best here. This is a horse who seems to do his best running under these conditions and I look for him to pull the minor upset here.
- #2 BEREN (5-2) appears to be a major player in this race. He shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance. This one goes out for the Reid barn and gets Ortiz in the irons.
- #3 TWISTED RIDE (9-2) should be competitive in this spot. He will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #5 STAGE LEFT (6-1) makes sense on speed figures. In a field that is so evenly matched on paper a wider draw may be a great equalizer for this runner as he can watch the race unfold to his inside.
Selections: 6 – 2 – 3 – 5
Belmont Park- Race 10
Post: 5:50 PM ET; $95k Allowance Optional Claiming going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 11
- #6 FREE LOOK (7-2) gets the top selection. She has races good enough to beat this group. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Brown and Franco.
- #3 ALPHA BELLA (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. She shouldn't have trouble with the 1 1/16 mile distance. This one looks to be the class of the field.
- #9 SPANSIVE (3-1) should improve off the first start and may benefit from a hot pace up front. A repeat of the debut and this one is right there.
- #8 GET YOUR KICKS (5-2) goes out for the Brown barn and gets Ortiz in the irons. Normally this would be enough to put her on top of the #6, but the trainer has done well with Manny in the past and the price is better.
Selections: 6 – 3 – 9 – 8
Belmont Park- Race 11
Post: 6:22 PM ET; $45k Maiden Claiming going 6 furlongs on turf; Entries: 16
- #13 MY CARA MIA MINE (8-1) is the top pick. She seems to fit well here. This one has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
- #11 MO DAMORNINGGROUCH (9-2) should be competitive in this spot. She projects to sit mid pack and come with one run. This one is well bred for this spot.
- #4 GEORGE'S VICE (7-2) should improve off the first start and should be competitive in this spot. The bloodlines say that this is the right spot for this runner to break through.
- #6 IRISH EMPRESS (8-1) could be in with a shot in this race. She makes sense on speed figures.
