• #5 FLY HIGH (5-2) is my best guess in this field of unraced horses. I like the connections and the confidence of the morning line on this runner.
• #1A MARIA FROM MIAMI (3-1) has a workout pattern to suggest this one could be ready to pop on debut.
• #6 RANSOM STYLE (9-5) is another well respected firster for top connections.
• #1 APPLE PICKER (3-1) is the less fancied part of the entry.

Post: 1:32 PM ET; Purse: $60,000 Starter Allowance, 1 1/16 Miles on Turf; Entries: 9

• #9 MAYBE LATER (4-1) is in with a great chance based on the horse's class & race flow.
• #2 TWIRLING PATTI (9-5) should be competitive today based on the horse's speed & power rating.
• #6 BASILIA (5-2) should be in the right spot early to give this horse a chance to get the job done.
• #8 MISS DELICIOUS (6-1) will likely have the stamina to outlast these in the final jumps of the race.

• #7 LUCKY BRODY (3-5) barring a horrible turn of racing luck, this one looks like about as much of a lock as they come.
• #5 EL VEINTICUATRO (8-1) has to be respected based on the connections.
• #2 TUESDAY'S CHILD (4-1) is a logical player in this field, but would have to do a lot to get by the #7. At this level anything can happen.
• #3 LUCKY MUCHO MAN (5-1) is another who isn’t without consideration.

Post: 2:34 PM ET; Purse: $250,000 John A. Nerud S., 7 Furlongs on Dirt; Entries: 5

• #1 LIFE IS GOOD (1-2) looks formidable here given the edge in a number of key categories including top connections & class.
• #5 SPEAKER'S CORNER (6-5) wasn’t good enough to compete with Flightline and now will take a quick turnaround and another shot at California’s most brilliant. Hard to see this one getting by the #1 but definitely the next likeliest winner.
• #2 REPO ROCKS (12-1) may be worth a bit of a stab. This one has been running ultra consistent in recent starts.
• #4 WAR TOCSIN (30-1) is worth a shot at a huge price. There won’t be a ton of money at stake with the #1 on almost all tickets so you have to find a runner like this somewhere.

• #8 EMBOITE (9-2) is proven as a good bet to at least hit the board under today's distance and surface conditions.
• #5 CAPENSIS (3-1) is well fancied on debut so this one is worth a look.

• #6 AIR SHOW (7-2) appears to have the best ability to pass horses late. If there is a hot pace this one makes sense.
