Belmont Meet: Friday Analysis, Selections from Aqueduct

The Belmont Park at the Big A meet continues Friday. Players will find races from this meet listed under track code BAQ. Belmont is traditionally BEL, while Aqueduct is usually listed as AQU.

The Belmont race dates were moved to Aqueduct this fall to allow for renovations to Belmont Park

Belmont at Aqueduct- Race 1

Post: 1:00 PM ET; $95k Maiden Special Weight going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 7

• #5 SPACE (6-1) should improve off the first start and gets the top selection.
• #4 SIGNATOR (4-1) debuts here and should be competitive in this spot. He has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
• #3 UNKNOWN AGENDA (9-5) debuts here and isn't without hope. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Pletcher and Ortiz.
• #2 SCOOTSCOOT (12-1) is a price horse with bloodlines good enough to win here.

• #3 FOUNDER (3-1) is the top pick. He makes sense on speed figures. This one comes into the race in really good form.
• #4 SPACE LAUNCH (5-2) looks to be the class of the field.
• #5 DREAM WORKS (3-1) has races good enough to beat this group. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Brown and Prat.
• #6 BLUEGRASS PARKWAY (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. He seems to fit well enough here.

• #7 KNOW IT ALL AUDREY (2-1) looks best here. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #3 WICKED LADY (3-1) has races good enough to beat this group.
• #6 GAGLIANO (8-1) may benefit from a hot pace up front.
• #2 U CANT HANDLE THIS (6-1) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.

• #4 EXPAND THE MAP (6-5) gets the top selection. She has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.
• #6 GLITTER UP (9-2) appears to be a major player in this race. She should be part of the early pace in this spot. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
• #1 SIXTH STREET (5-1) appears to be a major player in this race. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Walsh and Ortiz.
• #5 YAMAS (8-1) has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.

• #12 CHULLIGAN (8-5) should improve off the first start and makes sense on speed figures.
• #2 BARRY THE BUILDER (9-2) could be in with a shot in this race. He goes out for the Rodriguez barn and gets Prat in the irons.

• #3 SHARP STARR (9-2) makes sense on speed figures. This one has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.
• #2 DEALING JUSTICE (7-2) should be competitive in this spot. She goes out for the Handal barn and gets Davis in the irons. This one seems to fit well enough here.

• #5 HAMMERIN AAMER (5-1) has races good enough to beat this group. This one is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race.
• #2 CHRIS AND DAVE (6-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He makes sense on speed figures. This one seems to fit well enough here.
