Aqueduct: Heavy Rain Forecasted, Artie Schiller Moved

New York is expected to get a fair amount of rain through Friday into Saturday. Aqueduct was scheduled to run the Artie Schiller on turf Saturday. Instead the race has been moved to Sunday in hopes of keeping it on the grass.
Aqueduct- Race 1
Post: 12:20 PM ET; $70k Maiden Special Weight going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 8
- #5 LOOMS BOLDLY (3-1) should improve off the first start and gets the top selection. He shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance. This one has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
- #4 DISARMED (9-2) is well bred for this spot.
- #6 LIFETIME OF CHANCE (5-2) should take a step forward off the productive first start. This one is a major player.
- #3 WHISKEY AND WINE (5-1) debuts here and has to be respected going out for the combination of Mcgaughey and Davis.

- #2 PIONEER SPIRIT (3-1) is the top pick. He runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here. This one looks to be the class of the field.
- #5 BOLD VICTORY (9-5) appears to be a major player in this race. He shouldn't have trouble with the 1 1/8 mile distance. This one goes out for the Rice barn and gets Carmouche in the irons.
- #1 IT'S MANDATORY (2-1) has to be respected going out for the combination of Englehart and Rosario.
- #6 CONVERTIBLE FREEZE (8-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.

- #5 SENBEI (9-2) looks best here. He has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
- #6 STAGE LEFT (5-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He looks to be the class of the field.
- #2 FLAMINGO HAWK (9-2) should be competitive in this spot. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Falcone and Ortiz.
- #4 AMUNDSON (3-1) should be part of the early pace in this spot and has kept really good company in recent starts.

- #1 WIN FOR GOLD (7-5) gets the top selection. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #1A GOT THE GOLD (7-5) is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race. Given the strength of the entry mate, these two look tough to beat.
- #6 EMINENCY (3-1) isn't without hope. He has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
- #3 MOONSHININGBRIGHT (5-1) seems to fit well enough here.

- #2 AL'S PRINCE (5-2) is the top pick. He runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #7 TOP OF THE MINT (3-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He shouldn't have trouble with the 1 mile distance. This one has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.
- #1 AIR SHOW (3-1) should be competitive in this spot. He has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
- #3 WILL E SUTTON (6-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He makes sense on speed figures and power rating.

- #6 FROSTY INVASION (6-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She looks to be the class of the field. This one is well bred for this spot.
- #9 SUMMER SNOW (4-1) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one makes sense on speed figures.

Post: 3:14 PM ET; $45k Starter Allowance going 1 mile on dirt; Entries: 8
- #2 AMATTEROFTIME (7-2) gets the top selection. He has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip. This one may benefit from a hot pace up front.
- #7 NO SALT (6-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He goes out for the Miceli barn and gets Davis in the irons.
- #1 LOCALLY OWNED (3-1) gets Javier Castellano aboard who has been resurgent this year. This one will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
- #6 MOUNT TRAVERS (10-1) is a price horse and isn't without hope. He could get the right setup in this race to at least get up for a piece.

- #5 ROUGH SEA (3-1) seems to fit well enough here. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #2 SENIOR INVESTMENT (6-1) classes up well enough with these runners and makes sense to be a player.
- #3 TREASURE TROVE (6-1) makes sense on speed figures. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Cash and Castellano.
