Santa Anita- Race 1

Post: 1:00 PM PT; $35k Maiden Claiming going 1 mile on turf; Entries: 13

• #5 LOOKINTOGETEVEN (7-2) has races good enough to beat this group. This one has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
• #3 UNWHIRLED (5-1) seems to fit well enough here. This one could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.
• #2 VERY SCARY (4-1) is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race.
• #12 BABY'S DREAM (5-1) has to be respected going out for the combination of Cerin and Rispoli.

• #4 APPREHEND (8-1) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
• #6 MASTERING (4-1) will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late. This one seems to fit well enough here.
• #5 AMERICAN ADMIRAL (3-1) shouldn't have trouble with the 1 mile distance.
• #3 HOLDEN THE LUTE (5-2) has races good enough to beat this group.

• #7 CUBAN CRISIS (5-1) has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip. This one has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
• #3 DREAM A DREAM (15-1) is a price horse and shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance. This one runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.
• #12 TAKEMEBYTHEHAND (6-1) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one is well bred for this spot.
• #8 IZZY EM (12-1) is a price horse and goes out for the O'Neill barn and gets Rispoli in the irons.

• #6 ALWAYS AT EASE (5-1) makes sense on speed figures.

• #2 ICE DANCING (10-1) is a price horse and makes sense on speed figures. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
• #4 HUNTINGCOCO (7-2) should improve off the first start and goes out for the Baffert barn and gets Maldonado in the irons.

• #13 MY SUMMER DREAM (3-1) will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.
• #11 DETROIT CITY (8-1) could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end. This one seems to fit well enough here.

• #7 SKINNER (5-1) could get the right setup in this race. This one comes into the race in really good form.
