One of the biggest boxing matches of the year is slated to go down on Saturday, Aug. 20 when Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk collide for the second time. The highly-anticipated bout will be taking place at none other than King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The duo first met in London back in September, ending in a unanimous decision victory for Usyk, who took home the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles. Now, he and Joshua will fight to take those championships home again, along with the vacant The Ring heavyweight title.
As usual, there are countless betting markets out there that can help add some extra excitement to Usyk and Joshua’s upcoming clash. Fortunately, Betting News has gathered everything you need to know for the pay-per-view, including the general information, odds and best bets to make.

Usyk Slight Favored to Defeat Joshua
Just like their first encounter, Usyk vs. Joshua 2 is shaping up to be a close-fought battle. Though Usyk is favored on each of the four highlighted sportsbooks, the odds are relatively close across the board.
For example, Usyk’s top odds sit at -205 on BetUS, which only equates to an implied probability of 67.2%. While that still places victory in the former Olympic gold medalist’s favor, things aren’t as clear-cut as they were for other fights in his career.
Nevertheless, it isn’t a surprise to see the odds being this close after the duo went the distance in their initial meeting. In fact, it’s been a bit of a trend for Usyk, who’s gone 12 rounds in four of his last six outings.
Still, it was the champion who outclassed Joshua in their last meeting, out-punching his opponent throughout the fight. Usyk’s speed was just too much for Joshua to keep up with, ultimately leading to his downfall.
While beating Usyk is already tough, it’s going to be even harder this time around. Not only is the 35-year-old fighting for himself, but he said that he’s also fighting to bring joy to his home country of Ukraine. That sort of motivation can make a man even more dangerous.
At the end of the day, Joshua needs a better showing than he had at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium almost a year ago. He’s now lost two of his last four fights, so it’s up to him to prove that he can handle Usyk’s lightning-quick attack.
Having said that, Usyk is undefeated for a reason. He’s a perfect 19-0 on his career and has scored knockout victories in 13 of his outings. Considering that Joshua has been knocked out before, it’s just another reason to back the champion.
This fight is shaping up to be a great and memorable experience, no doubt. But it’s clear that this is Usyk’s fight to lose and judging by how he’s fought, it’s hard to imagine him walking out in defeat.
Usyk vs. Joshua 2 Betting Markets & Trends
While betting on the moneyline is simple, there isn’t much value unless you’re taking a Joshua upset win. Fortunately, BetOnline has more markets to help with your Usyk vs. Joshua 2 betting needs.
For method of victory, Usyk is favored to win by decision again at +175. He’s 6-0 when his fights go the distance, whereas Joshua is 2-1 in that scenario.
On the other hand, Joshua’s most likely way of winning is to knock Usyk out at +250. Given that the champion hasn’t been knocked out yet, Joshua would need a monumental effort to pull this off.
BetOnline is also favoring that the fight won’t go the distance at -160 and that the fight will likely end between Rounds 7 and 9 at +420.
Usyk vs. Joshua 2 Fight Prediction
Regardless of who wins, boxing fans should be entertained by Usyk vs. Joshua 2. But there’s a reason why Usyk is the favorite here, especially after he easily handled Joshua the first time around.
To get the most value out of a Usyk victory, I'm actually going to take him winning by KO/TKO at +210 on BetOnline. In addition to Joshua having already been knocked out, Usyk is more motivated than ever before and I think his jabs will be too much for the challenger to handle again.
