The Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight update and boxing odds are brought to you by BetOnline. BetOnline is a market leader in sports betting, offering various options from boxing to the UFC and everything in between.
After months of anticipation, boxing enthusiasts will finally get to see Jake Paul go one-on-one with Mike Tyson. The duo was supposed to collide at AT&T Stadium on July 20, however, the bout was postponed after Tyson dealt with an ulcer flare-up while getting on a plane.
Instead of facing the former world champion, Paul took on ex-UFC fighter Mike Perry in a replacement matchup. Paul won via sixth-round TKO, leaving many to wonder if he’d ever get his hands on Tyson.
Fortunately, we’ve had some promising updates regarding a Paul vs. Tyson boxing match in recent weeks, so let’s stop wasting time and dive into the news.
Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson Confirmed for November 15
Just a few hours after defeating Perry, Jake Paul confirmed that he’ll be facing Mike Tyson on Friday, Nov. 15. Just like the originally planned fight, Paul vs. Tyson will be an eight-round bout that takes place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX — home of the Dallas Cowboys.
“Mike Tyson, you’re next big boy,” Paul exuded with confidence shortly after his latest victory. “Sign the contract — November 15. I’m excited for that. I’m going to go home and prepare for that.”
Paul also added that Tyson is already preparing for the fight and that he’s “looking crazier than ever.” Having said that, the YouTuber-turned-boxer isn’t worried about his 58-year-old opponent, adding that he’s guaranteeing a knockout victory.
As anticipated as the bout is, there are some concerns heading into the upcoming showdown.
Even though Tyson is back to hitting the bag, some of his supporters are worried about his health following the ulcer scare. Keep in mind that “Iron Mike” — despite all that he’s accomplished — is nearing 60 and has only fought in two exhibition bouts in the last 18 years.
Paul doesn’t have nearly as much experience as Tyson, however, he’s still 10-1 with seven knockouts in the last four years. His hit list might not be the greatest, but the fact that he’s been actively boxing (on top of being 31 years younger than Tyson) could give him an edge.
The good news is that boxing fans won’t have to wait too long to see a confrontation between these opponents.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that a Paul vs. Tyson press conference will take place at Fanatics Fest NYC on Sunday, Aug. 18.
